FAQ: How do I troubleshoot a "Hardware Failed:" error?

Hardware Failed is a hardware failure of the communication between the mainframe and the module. First, find a known good module and place it into the failed channel slot. If the module is OK, the previous module is bad. If you still have a failed channel error, the mainframe is bad.
